Human with a capital H — who is he/she?

When a person wants to be most useful to the world and to live life as Human.

At birth, each person receives a priceless gift — life. And everyone tries to live it happily and successfully. If it is important for the person to live not boring, interesting and useful life, he tries to develop consciously: to build and improve relationships with people, effectively to create, to work, to solve problems, and, most importantly, to be happy in abundance! There are many options for how to live such a life — choose to your taste and in accordance with your ideals! Let’s talk today about choosing a life path, when a person wants to be most useful to the world — when he wants to live life of a real Human, a Human with a capital H. 

How to do it? To be or not to be positive, kind, smart? If to be, should one be of such kind always and in everything? And when should one think of himself? On holidays? Or is this allowed on weekdays, too? One wants to be useful for the world, as well as to support peace in the entire world; but it is also necessary to eat, sleep and provide for oneself. Balancing between selfishness and self-sacrifice, the individual determines, through his thinking and choices, who he is — human or real Human. With the help of Iissiidiology, we will figure out now who is who. Iissiidiology introduces the concept of the Human development Direction, its prospects, and has an extensive description for it, which we will use. 

A real Human described in Iissiidiology 

  • has a balanced intellectual-altruistic, positive thinking; 
  • consciously controls his own instinctual needs to survive. 

Let’s analyze the first characteristic — the intellectual-altruistic, positive thinking. Other authors spoke a lot about intellect, but altruism is still a little known concept. 

Altruism and intellect

Altruism (from lat. Alter — another, other) — the notion, moral principle, which interprets an activity associated with the unselfish concern for the welfare of others; corresponds to the notion of love and dedication. In some ways it can be seen as the opposite of selfishness. In psychology, it is sometimes considered as a synonym or part of prosocial behavior. 

Remember people respected in our society and their traits. Kind, sociable, cheerful, responsible, intelligent people spring to mind. This could be scientists who have achieved significant results to the benefit of humankind; businessmen-innovators comprehensively improving comfort and efficiency of our weekdays; mothers who raised happy and active children; dedicated doctors and volunteers with great experience… 

Obviously, not only scientists, innovators, mothers, doctors and volunteers are the role models. You say, “I can remember a lot of responsible, intelligent and loving people among my friends! And it is not necessary that they are a kind of heroes!” 

Indeed, such people are not necessarily identified with a bright achievements, but have distinct positive character. All of them: 

  • know and learn to love, think and analyze many things in life; 
  • are able to forgive and thank; 
  • are open for positive changes and try themselves to be their source; 
  • always consciously developed, not recognizing their achievements as absolute ones; 
  • treat life’s challenges as Lessons and benefit from them. 

If to simplify and generalize strongly the reference image of man, we come to two basic characteristics of thinking and behavior: altruism (or love) and intellect. People developing love and intellect inspire deep respect in others around. Such people are often called Humans with a capital H. Indeed, they are very close to the Human development Direction. But! Even such advanced people still cannot be called Humans with a capital H. The reason for this is the inability to consciously control the realization of own animal instincts and egocentrism 100%. Let us proceed here to the second characteristic of a true Human according to Iissiidiology — conscious control of survival instincts. 

The world is replete with cases where love, kindness and strength of intellect sometimes cause irreparable harm. So Iissiidiology lays, in the idea of Human evolution, not only the development of the best qualities of personality, but also parallel work on instinctive, animal programs of survival — if their intervention is uncontrollable, it causes damage to people and the environment. Until man learns consciously to give vent to his instincts and to channel their strength in a constructive direction, they will influence the manifestations of intellect and love and lead to situations “we wanted the best, you know…”.

Surely, instincts are a powerful engine for our development, without which it would be impossible to gain life experience and to obtain simple pleasure from the implementation of natural needs. It is therefore important not to suppress mindlessly the instinctual urges, but to implement them at the right time, moderately and without harm to ourselves and others. It is possible to transform a part of animal programs, such as phobias and emotional dependence to experience, wisdom and creative work. When a Human learns to transform some instincts and keep the implementation of others under control, they will cease to spoil the results of his intellectual-altruistic activities. Only then can we talk about the useful and harmless existence of the Human on Earth and his friendly relations with the environment and people. Then intellect and altruism of the Human will become mixed, interpenetrating states of the soul, which Iissiidiology calls as Highly Sensual Intellect and Highly Intellectual Altruism. What benefits has the Human development Direction? 

The Human becomes able to choose such own future he won’t regret for: building necessary relationships, avoiding unwanted events, approaching the intended objectives — choosing own destiny. 

Evolving independently, each individual makes all of the humanity more advanced (the experience of the individual adds up to the repository of the human experience). If the man refuses self-development, he kind of steals from the entire human sphere of life. In fact, in both cases the individual chooses not only his own, but also the humankind’s future, of which he is an integral part. Selfish choices lead to some future scenarios, and intellectual-altruistic ones lead to others.

Thus, a real Human with a capital H is able to choose a harmonious destiny not only for himself, but also for the society, which he wants to live in.
